Go look at Beale Steet in Memphis- Big Ugly signs everywhere, and is much more recognized and visited than Bricktown. You want pretty, go to Disney World. Not much of an issue here imo.

The problem with “BIG UGLY” signs is that as they get older they get uglier!! I think this city deserves businesses who care about the landscape of the area – If what this business sells depends so much on the sign, then maybe what they are selling needs attention. I think they have other/bigger concerns.

Looks good to me… nothing wrong with “big, ugly” signs in an entertainment district, as long as they are tastefully done!

Its an ugly sign….on a business with Ugly in the name….but its going to be an actual business, so, as LJ put it….there are many other things that deserve the concern.

Ahh, but the Committee can’t be concerned about those things, it’s not their jurisdiction. It’s up to the citizens and others to work make it known to the property owners that this shouldn’t be tolerated any more.

It looks better than a thousand pieces chewing gum stuck on the side of a vacant bricktown proerty, or broken windows and dirt along the canal on other well known properties. As well as many other actual eye sores that have been part of bricktown for years.

The bricktown committee has many more things to be concerned about other than the size of an actual business sign.
