As we continue filming the OKC Central show, I’d like to get you folks more involved. So here’s my idea: you email me questions about downtown at slackmeyer@oklahoman.com and I’ll do a segment with Dave Morris where I do my best to get them answered.
And if you wish, you can ask the questions in the comment section on this blog post if you will at least provide me with a first name and city you live in.

I would like to know specific projects you would like to see accomplished with the TIF money from Devon. A school? Where and what grades? Streets? Which ones? You get the idea.
I’d like the know if there’s anything else planned for the plaza court area in Midtown…We had a burst of activity last year with the opening of 1492 and other places, but so far nothing seems to be on the horizon.
Mike, Plaza Court is near full and 1492 isn’t in Plaza Court, it’s in the single tenant shop next door. MidTown Deli is opening next week to 1492. Nothing else that has been announced to media or publically is in the works, although rumor has it they are finalizing plans with more tenants in the MidTown area for various properties.
I know this isn’t downtown, but what is going into the Classen Curve. I know you talk to Rand Elliott, so I am sure you have some idea what is going in there.
What does the City plan on doing to promote recycling in Downtown OKC? Why can’t they put up recycling bins in the most densely populated work and tourist area? Simply having bins for plastic bottles and newspapers would go along way into making us a more progressive city. Additionally, most of the downtown housing developments are private trash, so the City’s recycling program does not reach MOST downtown residences. Can the city be more proactive in offering a recycling solution for downtown?
