A Proud Day for Mike Shelton, Guy Liebmann, Jeff Hickman, Jason Nelson and All the Other "Leaders" I Know …
And here comes the national embarassment….
I saw this coming. I hope it was worth it guys.

Well Doug,
I can see where this is going. Anyone with an opposing point of view must be some right wing whacko. More of the same.

The sad thing is, the embarrassment isn’t even the worst part. It’s knowing that we have legislators who have the instincts of third-graders.
Note: Mike Shelton (a Democrat) and others who didn’t vote are just as responsible for this motion not passing.
Why are we republican bashing here! My read on the story is that Governor Henry is a fool for not obeying the wishes of the elected majority that reflect the value of the Oklahoman people. We are a state that voted 66% or so for McCain/Palin, you know!
Anyway, I’d like to see Tulsa’s very own Gap Band with their hit, “You Dropped the Bomb on Me” be the state rock song!
As a Republican, my view is that a few people from my party decided to try and score some cheap political points, and instead caused some embarassment for the state.
You’ve got the right to be a crotchety old fart if you like, but you can forget about any campaign contributions from me if you choose to waste time on something like this.
I can’t comment on the others, but Guy Liebmann is a party hack. He will follow the leader every time. He has no intelligence or original thought and that’s why he voted the way he did.
You need to look at who is driving the issue to see where the real harm is coming from.
BTW, this state doesn’t have Democrats. They are nothing but Republicans with liberal views.

Well, I hate to say this, but the guys have more in common with Sally Kern (one of the 39 Republican “Nay” voters) than I would have supposed. We live, and we learn.
