It was bound to hit us in the energy industry with the plummet in oil and gas prices. A client in Western OK informed me last week of massive layoffs in the drilling industry, including her husband. We can only be glad that we are not as reliant on the energy industry as we were in the early 1980's.

When I last checked, OK had the seventh lowest unemployment in the country. I know it will get worse, but I don't think as bad as many states. We can be grateful for the strong agriculture and health industries.

They are going to layoff between 75 and 100 people. Chesapeake has been laying off people since February. A few in every department every other week. They are trying to stay under the radar.
