This is a thoughtful and worthy site, and I am glad I came across it.Could you tell us about the William H. Whyte session? There is a good anthology of his writings out there. (Secondly, my wife and I were in your city for the ACDA, and while people were very friendly, I have to say the city is not conventioneer friendly–beginning with what was in my view poor transportation options for those w/o cars. I had a tough time getting to the Cowboy Museum; and felt stranded at the stockyards area–no trolley came for us. But this blog is not for that perhaps as this is properly about downtown)I appreciate your urban studies focus here.

Kevin, this blog actually is very interested in your experiences as a visitor, especially in regards to public transit. Please tell us more about your visit. If you have any photos to share, you can email me at slackmeyer@oklahoman.com.

As for the William Whyte post, that one will follow in about four hours. This urban planning series is actually a special run for this blog. Usually it delves more into local innercity development issues, background and discussions.
