The Dynamic American City, Part 2
Now repeat after me: Tear it all down! Tear it all down! Tear it all down! Tear it all down! Tear it all down! Tear it all down! Tear it all down!
Now, part 2. Look for the third and final segment around noon.

Good catch Blair. I recommend that anyone who wants to see the Dyanmic American City complete with its intro view the films at http://www.archive.org. Sadly the film is too unstable for me to display here at http://www.okccentral.com. Remember I’ll be posting the third and final segment of the Dynamic Amercian City over the noon hour. Immediately after, I’ll be sharing plans for what is my most ambitious project yet here at http://www.okccentral.com.
Thanks, Blair, for tracking down the other link!
Being able to view these issues from the historical perspective is just golden. Thanks again, Steve, for finding these clips in the first place.

Steve,
Here is a nice quote:
“Finally came the staggering impulse of mass transportation, the motorization of our economy. So new, so powerful, so revolutionary is this force, that we have hardly been able to appraise its influence.”
One other thing, for some reason you lose the sound right before the wrecking balls come out. It is the same if you watch it on youtube. I found a version that picks up at this same point (and includes part III) over at archives.org: http://www.archive.org/details/DynamicA1956_2
