Special Bricktown Event
OK, one last bit of self promotion here – but I really believe some of you might really enjoy this upcoming signing of my book, “Bricktown.” The signing and presentation will be at Oklahoma’s Red Dirt Emporium, which is in the Miller Jackson Building, below Hooters, along the Bricktown Canal. You can just show up for the signing, or the details below show how you can register for a limited seating presentation that is sponsored by Urban Neighbors and the Bricktown Association. You can register at www.redirtemporium.com. While visitng you can also take a tour of the soon-to-open Put a Cork in It winery store next to the Red Dirt Emporium. Here’s some info on the night from the Emporium:
Please join us Thursday, February 12 for a very special book signing event with Steve Lackmeyer, author of the new book Bricktown. Steve will be signing from 5 PM to 6 PM, and again from 7 PM until 8 PM.
Between 6 PM and 7 PM, Steve will give a special presentation including extremely rare television interview footage from early Bricktown visionary Neal Horton. Steve uncovered this footage during research for his two recent books on downtown and Bricktown. After the video presentation, Steve will team with Bricktown Association Executive Director Jim Cowan for a question and answer session on Bricktown’s past, present and future. Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse during this portion of the event.
The presentation and Q&A portion – again held between 6 PM and 7 PM – is an official social event for Oklahoma City’s Urban Neighbors organization, and has limited seating available. You MUST complete the form below to reserve a seat for this event. If the 6 PM-7 PM reservation-only portion of the event is booked beyond capacity, paid Urban Neighbors members (determined by membership list) will be given priority seating, and members of the general public will be seated based upon the order in which online reservations are received.
