Yeh Chad, glad you could turn direction of the debate over at OKCTalk – you make excellent points. But other than that has there been a negative response?

It’s amazing to me that in such a short time people in Oklahoma City have gone from such a low self-esteem about the city to suddenly having high standards. It’s like a shift from “We’re not good enough for this” to “This is not good enough for us.” Which is no doubt a good thing in so many circumstances. But in the case of urban development and Ms. Jenkins’ experience, we need to humble ourselves and realize how much we have yet to learn from any community despite the population sticker. Sure, we broke free of association with Little Rock and Wichita, but we cannot stop learning from them.

Other than an unsuccessful spelling of the word “successful” and a paragraph that was apparently run through the Department of Redundancy Department before inclusion, I stand by my (lengthy) comments. I will point out that the quoted content was actually more than one single post, edited together…
