Thanks for staying on the city, Steve. I think this is the worst design presented for Bricktown yet. We may have one story buildings in Bricktown, and we may have some pitched roofs in Bricktown, and I may not really care for them (unless they are original), but a one story, pitched roof fire station could not be more out of place in Bricktown.

If they can’t afford to build it right, then they just need to build it about a 1/2 mile east of Bricktown. Or better yet, don’t waste taxpayer money and keep using the one just northeast of Bricktown.

I really appreciate your efforts here. It’s hard to understand how things have gotten so far off track. This will have a long-term, extremely negative impact on Bricktown if it comes to pass in its current form.

If the City can’t abide by its own restrictions relating to Bricktown, it should build this thing somewhere else.

I agree. This thing needs to be redesigned before it goes to anybody, unless they want to build it in Yukon or Mustang. Has anyone seen the Bethany Fire Station. It is fairly urban looking, large and 2-story. I wish you could have taken a pic of the Bethany Fire Station to the City Council meeting Steve. If I had more time, I’d go snap one and then meet you at the City Council meeting. I just realized I need to be there in like 10 minutes so that isn’t going to happen. Please don’t let them slide this through without some public uproar. Show them the printouts of your blog comments, etc.

The new Chamber of Commerse building also didn’t suffer the same scrutiny forced upon the “real” public. Could it be father-knows-best syndrome?
