Little late, but the parking lots are charging 20 dollars to park all week.

Jeffrey, the Hampton Inn and the Power Alley Garage have the same owner, so there is no problem there. The Hampton Inn is not full service, so I imagine there won’t be more than 20 workers at any given time. There is plenty of space and I’m sure they will consult occupancy lists when deciding how many non-hotel cars they can take.

As for the north lot, I agree with Steve on those changes. Also, it’s huge and a full Holiday Inn Express wouldn’t come close to filling it.

How many employees does a typical Hampton Inn have? Where will they park? Has Hampton Inn made an arrangement with the Garage for a certain amount of Guaranteed spaces? Perhaps Steve could research that and Blog on the implications of hotel parking on these areas.

You make a good point that $5 spaces won’t be as popular as free spaces.

Jeffrey, your previous post on the parking story is full of uniformed assumptions.
When the Hampton Inn opens up, it will use the Bricktown Parking Garage, but there will still be plenty of spaces.
When the Holiday Inn opens, it will use the North Lot, but again, there is still plenty of spaces.
If the lots didn’t come close to filling up when the spaces were FREE, it shows that when they charge $5, there will be plenty of spaces.
The Bricktown Parking Study covered all of these issues and correctly revealed that there are plenty of parking spaces in Bricktown.
