Ronald – Bigger Than Life
The interesting discussions continue at www.okctalk.com. They’re talking about the giant Ronald McDonald that has stood atop the new Bricktown McDonalds. I guess Jim Cowan and/or John Calhoun can answer whether this inflatable is a problem or not.

Add that big ugly clown to the sign on the ballpark that only illuminates “town” not “Bricktown” and the “Coca-C la” event center, and we are on the verge of some minor tackiness.
Soon our beloved Thunder will be playing at the F rd Ce te and our fair city will look quite “big league” in the national spotlight.
**I may be over-exagerating on the Ford Center signage, but I have noticed some letters being burnt out – I just can’t remember which ones.**
There are enough other things in that area that are more tacky. Bricktown still has a ways to go. I have faith it will continue to thrive and grow tho.
They need a sign out front. Welcome to Bricktown where we are more kid friendly! Come and see the giant inflatable Ronald, the Bass Pro and the disappointment that is Lower Bricktown! But wait, if you are a business interested in expanding to Bricktown, don’t bother because we are expecting way too much in rental rates.
