Steve, you said, "So as to step out of this unexpected bit of web politics, I’ve added both links to the blogroll. Personally, I like both sites for different reasons."

Since the NBA is somewhat outside of your more particular interest area, and since you've apparently been surprised at what you refer to as "web politics" feedback, how about adding this link to your web-roll: http://www.okcnbafans.com/vforum/index.php. Next time, perhaps you'll consult your good friend, me, before venturing into the NBA in OKC arena! :-)

That is the new "permanent" address for the grass-roots OKC NBA forum which has existed for 3 years, and of which I'm glad to be a 3 year member. As I said, no reason exists that multiple OKC NBA fan forums/websites not to co-exist ... I was mainly miffed that OPUBCO resources had the WalMart-like temerity to run a free full page ad and in that website it touted itself to be the "premier" place to be on this topic.

I've registered there (although it took bouncing off of a few walls to get that done), but my NBA OKC home will continue to be the place that persevered for 3 years through thick and thin before OPUBCO finally thought it worthwhile to jump on in, now that it felt the time was right to do so. Dues have been paid, and OPUBCO ain't paid a dime of the same! Nada.

Betts (now owner of the place formerly known as HornetsCentral.com, aka SonicsBeat.com) is presently migrating to the new address, above, with new software, etc. Transitions can be a bitch ... I don't know how or if she will be able to migrate 65,100 posts which have been made on 4,895 topics by the board's 1,365 registered members in the predecessor fan forum which has been the best OKC NBA Peep Show on the web, but Betts will do her best, I am sure. The new address, http://www.okcnbafans.com/vforum/index.php, will be the place to go for the best discussion, scooped stories, etc., on the web!

Link it, my man!

I'm sure that I'll be slumming at OPBCO's site, too, but my home will be the grass-roots OKC NBA peep show, three years running.

Take THAT to the bank! :-)

I don't like it personally. Could they make it more tacky with some more Wimgo ads please? Loose the wimgo ads and the free advertising look and it might be a decent board. I also don't like how OPUBCO fails to mention how they have an interest in the team through Clay Bennett. As Doug said, I prefer to support the mom and pops that have been running our fan sites for years instead of OPUBCO trying to increase it's market share again for an area they previously failed at. I wish OPUBCO would work on adding more content and writers to their paper so we'd actually buy it instead of cutting it down and then going into domains previously untapped. I wonder if the designer of the Thunder logo designed this website.

The Lost Ogle in Spanish? That's wonderful. Some of the best programming I saw this summer (please realize I was trying to avoid reality shows) was a Spanish dubbed version of Leprechaun 4: In Space. Great stuff. Good times.

Either that, or you can be sure that he'll be lurking and will "be driving the getaway car," which he said was just as bad.

By the way, I got my "real" book in the mail yesterday. Hoo-ahh!
