I'd always keep my eyes on Roy Oliver. But I'm not sure I know who you're referring to with the "Jones boys." Elaborate please!

There is a future site billboard out on the Kilpatrick, I think it's Paycom's. I rather doubt most businesses will spend $375 a foot on their buildings. Also, the lure of living near good schools ought to be strong.

Mardel? No. I used to work for one of their spinoff company's. They share workforce with Hobby Lobby out on SW 15th or whatever. They don't have the vision for something like this nor the practical need. Chesapeake, as others said, they have a suburban campus, why vacate it? Sandridge, has a tower downtown with plenty of vacant floors and are remodeling their own tower. Look for smaller or up and coming companies like American Fidelity Assurance (who said they want a tower downtown), Paycom, local banks, etc. To possibly build a mixed-use or leased tower. Let' s be realistic folks.

Curious indeed. Maybe he bought them all just to renovate those that are empty, or to sell later- knowing something would soon happen on the OCURA property.

^^ No, Chesapeake has its city and Sandridge already has a downtown highrise.

I see, so Preftakes is this other highrise developer. I'll be interested to see his proposal, but some of the buildings on that block, especially those fronting Main St, are really great...
