Trolleys
I am hosting a reunion and the atendees will stay and have events in and originating in Bricktown. These seniors are from a multi-state area and money will be spent. However some are not able to to extensive, or even moderate walking so the Trolley is something that becomes very important to getting to locations e.g. restaurants, mueseums, park, shopping. I hope a poor impression will not be made in regard to the trolley system.

Good in depth coverage. I’m glad the city partners are identifying a problem and listening to the public. Instead of the typical, putting the blinders on, “we don’t have a problem” solution. Improvements to the trolleys would dramatically improve life for residents living downtown as well as visitors. Tourism should benefit greatly with the ability to be mobile and visit other destinations beyond their walking distance, as well as better informed, maybe destinations they weren’t aware of until they got on the trolley.

I just got a text message (middle of the night) telling me to read your post. So, I just read it and a couple of us have a question about this comment of yours:

WHAT union? Could you explain?

The Oklahoman for years used to put “union” in front of any employees who were represented by a union if it could put them in an unfavorable light. I guess some things never change, huh? Are you suggesting that “non-union” drivers would be friendlier?

But first, Steve, WHAT union? Fill us in on who represents COTPA workers.
