Thinking back to when I was 18, well, no, I certainly wasn't capable of anything that creative. I believe I was still trying to figure out how to use a Kodak disc camera.

The skateboard video is the best. It is smoother and easier to watch. The view of the Memorial site is just spectacular. The video flowed much smoother from one frame to the other. Considering the vote tally, it appears that this video should have won. Note of interest - one of the young men working on this video received a heart transplant in December, 2006 and he was very proud to work on it and to receive Honorable Mention.
Keep up the good work, guys.

In the skateboard video - there were some great visual images of points of interest that attract people to downtown, including the view of the East wall of the Murrah site, looking through the key of the West wall, the scale of the wall shown by the skater passing by - as to the skate through of the Conncourse, great images of the light and color, giving awareness to the tunnel system for many for the first time!

These three 18 year-old artist created this video as a project for their inter-active media class for credit.

The skateboard video is much better. It is smoother and easier to watch. The shot at the Memorial is spectaculart. It appears that the wrong video was choosen as the winner, considering the voting. Note of interest - one young man that worked on this video received a heart transplant last December. He was very proud that he was able to work on this video and that they received Honorable Mention.

For those of you who don't know it, Ryan is a very good friend of mine, so I'm very liberal when it comes to mocking and abusing him.
;)
Have no fear, I will treat all other posters with respect.

Yes, Ryan, you are missing the point. It was a way to show off funky lighting of the Underground. It was praised for providing people a ground level view of downtown. Remember both of these videos were by students - and adults, please, be nice to our young, aspiring creative class.

How could the skateboard possibly be a runner up? How would watching some dude land surfing around the useless underground be a promotion for downtown OKC? Am I missing the point?

I went with the skateboard ... 1st reason was that the camera was consistently steady and not jerking around and I could "see" better was was being shown ... 2nd reason was that it seemed tied better together as a unit. I wouldn't give either an "A," though, though I enjoyed watching them.
