"We have to build the density before we can support light rail." He has this exactly backwards. Development follows the installation of light rail. Just like at the transit-oriented-development around DART stations in Dallas. We have the dense destinations in downtown, the medical center, and Tinker among others. We may have to use park and ride at the origins at the beginning, but the development will follow.
