Aaron, I am enjoying your blog on Guatemala. I was part of a VIM team to Quetzaltenango about 4 or 5 years ago. We went through and stopped in Chichicastenango on the way from Guatemala City to the VIM mission in Quetzaltenango. you are seeing a much more rural setting than we did, but the way of life and the people are much the same-very gracious and appreciative of all the mission teams do.

If your team gets a chance visit the Potter's House Mission in Guatemala City located at the city dump. It will change your life-to see how these poeple live and survive-especially the kids.

I will look forward to your future blogs.
