Your article is enlightening, though I do sometimes feel that curing/dealing with diabetes using surgery is a little too radical. I think that in the long run, our diabetes researchers will have to concentrate more on the genetic causes and cures of diabetes, or do radical lifestyle research to unearth the real causes and cures. My point is that surgery for diabetes may cause more pain than the diabetes itself, especially in cases where it (the diabetes) does not cause major life impairment, but only inconvenience. All surgery is dangerous in my view, and should only be last resort.
