The CW bringing Deadman to TV
Deadline reports that the CW will attempt to bring another DC Comics-based show to the network. “Deadman” will be based on the comic book, created by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, and famously illustrated by Neal Adams. Boston Brand is a murdered circus acrobat whose spirit can inhabit other people and help them solve problems in their lives.
I can see how this would work on TV – it’s sort of a ghostly “Quantum Leap” or “Fugitive.” The show is being written and executive produced by “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke.
“We’re looking next year to do a superhero show if the right superhero comes to be,” CW president Mark Pedowitz said at TCA last month, as quoted by Deadline.
A volume of Deadman’s “Strange Adventure” tales was released in paperback in May.

She’ll appear as a Russian trophy wife in the eleventh episode of Season 5 who will be used by the “Burn Notice” team as bait in a trap for her husband.
Zap2it reports that Carpenter will rejoin her “Buffy” co-star James Marsters on this season of “Supernatural.” The pair will play a married couple in season 7′s fifth episode, called “Shut Up, Dr. Phil.”
Carpenter is scheduled to attend the 2011 Wizard World Austin convention from Nov. 10-12.
