Aquaman shrine promotes Brave and Bold 32

The Aquaman Shrine is going all-out in promoting the Aquaman-Demon team up in “Brave and Bold” No. 32, featuring the classic Aquaman teamed up with Etrigan, the Demon.

The issue, written by J. Michael Straczynski and drawn by Jesus Saiz, is set for February release:

Straczynski says at the Aquaman Shrine:

You can draw a line of comparison between Aquaman and the lead character in the Dune books: both royalty of a sort, both commanding vast creatures that live beneath the surface, and both living in an environment hostile to normal humans (with the reverse approach, extremely dry instead of extremely wet). If you look at what they’ve been able to do with the Dune books, you know there has to be more you can do with Aquaman. It just takes the right approach.

How does the “Brave and Bold” issue tie into Blackest Night, and what are Straczynski’s other plans for the character?  Click over to the Aquaman Shrine for answers.

The Aquaman hoodie is a reality!

According to The Point, the campaign for 200 people to promise to buy an Aquaman hoodie has been met!  The shirt’s not available for order yet, but a quote on the “Save the Aquaman Hoodie” group site from 80sTees president Kevin Stecko says:

“I will find out how long the lead time is on these hoodies and after I
do I will put the product back on the site.”

So, congratulations, Aquaman fans.  Please, if you get one of these, e-mail pictures to mprice at opubco.com, and you could find yourself in a Nerdage photo parade.

Aquaman hoodie update: 28 more needed

aquaman-hoodie.png

Over at The Point, 28 more signups are still needed to make the Aquaman hoodie a reality.

If you’ve missed my previous posts on the topic, here’s the deal:

Aquaman fans represent! Although 80sTees.com promised us an Aquaman hoodie (along with a Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Flash hoodie) they have pulled the Aquaman hoodie from their site, and it is no longer available for pre-order.

But there is hope! 80sTees president Kevin Stecko has promised to make it available for pre-order again if we can get 200 people to promise to order an Aquaman hoodie. If those 200 orders go through he’ll put the hoodie into production. Then we can all stand proud in the colors of our hero Aquaman!

If you really, really need an Aquaman hoodie in your life, then go over, sign up, and make those dreams happen.

Or, you can do it right through this widget:

Save the Aquaman hoodie!

As pointed out at Comics Should Be Good, the company 80sTees.com will produce an “Aquaman” hoodie if 200 people pledge to order them.

From the pledge site:

Aquaman fans represent! Although 80sTees.com promised us an Aquaman hoodie (along with a Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Flash hoodie) they have pulled the Aquaman hoodie from their site, and it is no longer available for pre-order.

But there is hope! 80sTees president Kevin Stecko has promised to make it available for pre-order again if we can get 200 people to promise to order an Aquaman hoodie. If those 200 orders go through he’ll put the hoodie into production. Then we can all stand proud in the colors of our hero Aquaman!

So, if you, too, like the 40 already pledged, would like to walk around in public with an Aquaman-style hoodie, now is the time.  Stand proud.  I completely want to see pictures of people wearing this if it happens.
