“Superman” Henry Cavill engaged
"Superman" actor Henry Cavill
The Belfast Telegraph reports that Henry Cavill, who will play Clark Kent, aka Superman, in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” reboot of the Superman film property, is engaged.
The report says he proposed to girlfriend Ellen Whitaker, who is training as a showjumper for the British team in the 2012 Olympics, on a trip to Hollywood.
Of course, the comic-book Man of Steel himself was married in a 1996 comic book that was released in connection with an episode of “Lois and Clark” in which Clark Kent and Lois Lane, played by Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, got married. “Lois and Clark” on TV was cancelled at the end of that season, but Lois and Clark of the comics remain married to this day.
