As reported in the Los Angeles Times, Amy Adams (“Enchanted,” “The Fighter”) has been named as Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s upcoming “Superman” movie reboot.
Adams, 36, a recent Oscar nominee for The Fighter, will play opposite Henry Cavill, 27, as Clark Kent, aka Superman.
The film, set for a Dec. 2012 release, will be directed by Zack Snyder, whose “Sucker Punch” opened this weekend.
What do you think of Amy Adams as Lois Lane? Does she have the right stuff to play the spunky, award-winning journalist who stands toe-to-toe with the world’s most powerful man?

As I’ve posted on other (related) sites, the casting of Amy Adams leaves me flat and seems entirely too safe a choice. Amy seems a bit old, as well. Personally, I was hoping for Rosario Dawson, who would have brought something far more interesting to the role. I also have serious issues with the storyline that’s been reported (Yet another telling of his origin? Really?) but that’s probably a separate issue.
Thanks,
