My favorite Trek comic was the DC series that happened during Trek movies 2-4.

I enjoyed having a good Trek comic for a change, the last one was the old Gold Key, which I never considered faithful.

We remember finding issues of this series in local flea markets back in the day and we also remember that those were the days when the film itself didn’t engage us.

With time, however, Star Trek: The Motion Picture has become one of the best entries in the saga. If you haven’t re-watched the film on DVD, we encourage you and your readers to do so. The DVD is a true directors cut that is actually much shorter than all of the previous versions. It also has new special effects (that were created to respect what was possible in 1979).

Just as with each of the most popular Star Trek film entries, it’s the characters who always make it work best and this movie is not the exception, it’s the model!
