Avengers, Captain America and Thor movies promoted at Comic-Con

Among the Avengers, Thor and Captain America tidbits from Comic-Con:

- Mark Ruffalo will play the Hulk in the Avengers.

- Joss Whedon was officially confirmed as the director of The Avengers

- Jeremy Renner was officially confirmed as Hawkeye in The Avengers

- “Captain America” will be set during World War II; brief footage showed Chris Evans with the suit and shield.

- Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. showed up to promote “The Avengers”

- “Thor” will have elements in both the modern world and Asgard.

- Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster won’t be in “The Avengers,” but could show up in sequels to “Thor.”

- Chris Hemsworth’s brother, Liam, was also up for the title role in “Thor.”
