]]> http://blog.newsok.com/nerdage/2010/07/22/dark-horse-to-share-first-look-at-turok-son-of-stone-revamp-at-comic-con/comment-page-1/#comment-36242 urraca Mon, 26 Jul 2010 05:13:34 +0000 http://blog.newsok.com/nerdage/?p=8551#comment-36242 i cant wait for the new turok series. one of the things i hope for is that the series is inteligent, violent, and sexy. i hope the art is first class. it would be awesome if the story had real survival tips, regularly, written into it. i happen to like both of turoks styles: his old warrior attire and his futuristic commando look. whatever his situation in the course of the series, should determine the way he looks. in other words, i hope he is not forced to only use his knife and bow, let him be smart and increase his power by using whatever he can, and adjusting, along the way. whatever his image, it should be cool! one of my biggest turnoffs in comics is when the enemy minions are all presented generically. example:a band of indians are all drawn with identical clothing and colors. something i have seen even in many covers. i would not only like to see different tribes drawn differently, but different individuals as well. the pre-columbian new world had so many tribes and cultures, with different warrior outfits and weapons, religious ceremonies and customs to enrich the comic’s pages. of course the same goes for the dinos. it seems to me that i could see the same four or five types of dinosaurs in most of the old covers. i also hope turok doesnt make a whole bunch of dumbass pals, like many nerdy superheroes do. instead i hope he meets many sexy hot babes in distress that he can save, and hopefully, get rewarded kindly.
