Alex Ross Avengers artwork to debut at Comic-Con

According to a news release, a new Alex Ross limited edition print will be available at Comic-Con, featuring some of the key 1960s Avengers.  Entitled “Assemble,” the piece  features the characters that Ross considers “the primal Avengers”:  Black Panther, Hawkeye,  Captain America, Iron Man, The Wasp, Thor, Scarlet Witch, The Vision and Goliath.

“There are a number of others that came through the ranks during the 1960s, but I would vote that in a boiled-down list, these mattered most,” Ross (“Marvels,” “Kingdom Come”) said in the release.
The prints will be available in canvas and paper editions and measure 45 ¼” by 20.”  There are 100 available of the canvas edition and 250 in paper.  “Assemble”  is set to debut at Comic-Con International, July 22-25 in San Diego.  “Assemble” will be on display at the Marvel ArtWorks booth, #4713, and online at MarvelArtWorks.com.
