Yeah, I think people just realized the stuff we like is cool. Which was always true. For a while, when I first had the comic store, I used to resent the “nerd” label. Basically, everybody’s into something, if they are interesting at all! Why is being into the NFL socially OK, but Star Wars isn’t? But at this point, everybody loves geeks and nerds and the word’s been reclaimed. Enough so that I had no problems naming my blog “Nerdage.” So there may be some geek “posers.” That’s OK. Everybody’s into what they are into, and if they’re positive about it and happy, then I think that’s a good thing. Thanks for reading!
