Former Batman Val Kilmer still is a draw for Nerdage readers: He comes in at No. 22 on our list of 25 actors with geek appeal.
Kilmer became a star in the 1980s in comedies like “Top Secret!” and “Real Genius” before becoming Maverick’s nemesis in the blockbuster “Top Gun.” In the mid-1990s, he became Bruce Wayne/Batman in the film “Batman Forever.”
He was the voice of KITT in the recent “Knight Rider” remake, and is the villain in the upcoming film “MacGruber,” based on the Saturday Night Live skit. See the redband MacGruber trailer here; the film opens May 21.
