Diora Baird comes in at No. 24 on Nerdage’s list of geek-friendly actresses. (Rankings determined by page views and searches.) Part of Baird’s popularity could be due to the actress’s likability, as evidenced by her fun-to-follow twitter feed.
Baird has starred in some nerd-friendly projects; she appeared at Comic-Con in 2009 to promote “Stan Helsing,” the horror movie parody. She auditioned for a role in Thor, and filmed a scene as a Star Trek officer in the 2009 “Star Trek” film, but was cut from the final release. She has also appeared in “Wedding Crashers” and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning,” as well as a film that we’d probably better just refer to by its abbreviation, “Y.P.F.”
