Alice in Wonderland accounts for 83 percent of advance ticket sales
MovieTickets.com reports that Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” accounts for 83 percent of today’s total ticket sales as of 1 p.m. ET at the site. The film, starring Johnny Depp, releases Friday.
In addition, 44 percent of moviegoers who have purchased “Alice” tickets at the site have bought four or more tickets, indicating the film may be popular with large groups. Another recent survey at MovieTickets.com indicated “Alice in Wonderland” is the next film moviegoers age 25-59 plan to see in theaters.
