I think the direction they are going is too close to when Peter Davison took over for Tom Baker. He was at the time the youngest to play the Doctor after replacing the most popular actor to portray the role. I think they should have went in a new direction and chosen a woman, or an actor of a different race. We shall, see, but I am not hopeful.

I came on with Eccleston, wasn’t sure I was going to like the next guy, and then just loved Tennant’s take. But I have to wait and see. Maybe I’ll like Matt Smith as well.
