Last I heard, there is a new Masters of the Universe script floating around Hollywood now and the film's listed as "in production".

However, if the script's anything like I've heard, I don't want it to be made...EVER!

Google it. It's the one about Prince Adam, soldier in Eternia's Army, vs Skeletor's technological minions bent on destroying all Magic. (The guy with the floating skull for a head wants to kill magic. Really?) Sad but true.

The movie studios are a handful of years late when it comes to cashing in on re-released 80's toy brands. Anyone who seriously identifies with the likes of He-man and G.I. Joe is closer to the 30-something age range instead of the more lucrative early 20's spenders. Of course Skeletor and Co. have been tied up in licensing issues forever, so that explains part of it.

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors would be awesome as well as something like Starcomm or Dino Riders - properties from my childhood but not ones with a massive amount of debth, characterization, and consequently, rose-tinted emotional attachment.

I'm curious to see in 20 or so years time what current brands make a return. Will High School Musical have a re-make? Wiill Hannah Montana have a cult following? We'll see!
