Jessica Alba jumps the shark

Follow NewsOK’s coverage of “The Shark Incident” with this coverage of the official complaint from the Oklahoma Parks and Recreation office here.  Actress Jessica Alba was reported to have covered parts of downtown with posters of a shark.  Among the vandalized items were a United Way billboard.

jessica-albaAlba’s statement, in which she apologizes for the incident, can be found here. The Oklahoman’s Steve Lackmeyer talked to Mayor Mick Cornett about the incident; that information can be found here.  Alba has been in Oklahoma filming “The Killer Inside Me,” in part in Guthrie.

Hopefully not missed in the hubbub is some positive news about the Hollywood-Oklahoma connection that was released today. Another movie is slated to begin filming in July in Guthrie.  “You Can’t Win” is based on the life of late 19th/early 20th century hobo and prison reformer Jack Black.
