Teen comic star Archie Andrews is set to propose to Veronica Lodge in Archie #600. I’m hoping this is a swerve, because you always hoped Archie would come around and see that Betty Cooper was the better choice! This story is set after Archie’s college days and is written by movie producer Michael Uslan. What do you think?

The eternal love triangle is the cornerstone of Archie Comics for over 65 years-and the bane of Archie Andrews’ existence! In fact, over the years it has not only defined the Betty/Archie/Veronica relationship, but has even threatened to dismantle it a time or 20.

This is horrible news!! I always rooted for Betty and Archie, and I think that most people shipped them too. Michael Uslan has to be crazy to have Archie marry Veronica, it’s tragic!! I’m seriously hoping that they are playing us and that Varchie don’t marry. I’m 23 and I haven’t read this comic in 10 years but I have to read these 6 parts.
Poor Betty, she has always been 1000x better than Veronica and if he doesn’t end up with her then it’s his loss and she could do way better!

Call me crazy, but I have always liked Veronica more than Betty! She has more spunk and style. Good taste.

He should pick Veronica. They are more similar. If he picks Betty he will always be second-guessing and she is a pushover so she will let him get away with it.

but aww c’mon! You fans of Betty you should stop wanting Archie to end up with Betty! Because we all know that he doesn’t deserve her! She deserves a better guy who will truly love her, her and only her! So leave him to the bad Veronica okay?
