Queen intrigued by Adam Lambert
Rolling Stone reports on the rumors that Adam Lambert has been offered a spot with the band Queen, with whom he performed on Wednesday night’s “American Idol” finale.
The band’s guitarist, Brian May, told Rolling Stone that he hopes to talk to Lambert at some point. “Amongst all that furor, there wasn’t really a quiet moment to talk,” May tells Rolling Stone in an e-mail interview. “But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”

Lambert would be a great GUEST lead vocals for QUEEN. If he does do guest lead vocals for QUEEN, he should try to copy Freddie Mercury as much as he can coz it will might make QUEEN fans very happy to hear that voice live again. Lambert needs to review his every performance in AI and all the studio versions because he has that signature “scream”/”screams” that he needs to get rid of or change around. If he does those screams all the time, people get tired of it. Sometimes less is more.
It was certainly a huge upset, and there’s been some speculation on the reasoning, but I don’t know if there’s enough info to ascribe motives besides “Kris got more votes.” I don’t think everybody who voted for Kris hated Adam; obviously a lot of people liked them both or they wouldn’t have gotten that far. All the people who had been voting for Gokey had to go somewhere. I also think some people might have voted for Kris thinking Adam was going to get a record deal anyway – and those numbers would certainly seem to back that up.
Right on — it WOULD be a match made in rock n’ roll heaven!! I saw Adam in an interview and he said , yes, he was going to talk to the guys with Queen and that he was really excited about it; however, Adam made it clear that he REALLY wanted his album to be his visions and interputations, and he was already working on some “things”. In a backstage mini-interview with Gene Simmons, he said they were going to have Adam come out and hookup with them on the road for a few shows. For Adam that’s very flattering — but KISS needs Adam more than he needs them!(just my opinion) ROCK ON ADAM!!
The numbers speak for themselves… Adam Lambert has 14 entries in the Top 25 on I tunes and the other guy has 3 entries in the Top 25. Adam also has over 350,000 hits to his duet with Kiss. It is the most watched video on You Tube and has been for the past 2 days. Thanks K K K Kristian “hate voters”
