Wolverine claws to $35 million Friday
Box Office Mojo reports a $35 million opening for “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” putting the film among the best one-day openings for a summer season first-day opening. It trailed “Spider-Man 3,” “Spider-Man” and “Iron Man” among first May weekend openings. It’s just ahead of “X2: X-Men United,” which cleared $31.2 million. (Adjusted for inflation, “X2″ does slightly better at $37 million.
