New trailer for “Star Trek”
There’s a new trailer for J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” film at the official site. The site has also undergone a redesign. However, it did ask me for a password to download desktop themes, not sure what that’s about. The film is set for a May 2009 release.

Didn’t get to see Quantum this weekend so missed it in theatres, but I did catch a pretty crappy YouTube version. I’m really looking forward to seeing a clear copy when I can get access to the site.
I’m a casual Star Trek fan (I’ll watch when it’s good, but I’m not interested in any of the specific mythology of the “canon”) and I can’t freakin’ wait for this movie. I thought MI:III was a fantastic thrill ride and it looks like J.J. will bring the same energy to Trek.
Never enjoyed Star Trek as a show but I am a fan of J.J. Abrams and I can say this will spark my interest in reexamining the show. He has a great style and I think will deliver.
Yeah the new movie is intense and alot better than the originals…
sorry! And Zach Quinto, is a great Spock, looks just like the original, anyway check this out, i stumbeled on to this page with some of the oldtimmers of former star trek shows like Jeffery Combs and Gary Graham talking about the new movie.

I dont get it why do many trekkies dont like the new film? I thought it did pretty good justice..

Got to see the new trailer Friday at the new Bond film and I have to say I like it better than the first trailer. This one actually has me excited about the new Trek. I will, however refer to it as the Star Trek of Earth-2.
I will go into the theater with no preconceived notions about it, because it is new Trek, not the old. ( I do find it strange that their are working automobiles 300 years in the future!)
