Election Day – go vote!

captain_america_button.jpg

Marvel.com has released a series of “buttons” encouraging voting (including one of the Canadian hero Wolverine, who I assume can’t vote in U.S. elections), concluding today with Captain America.

I encourage the U.S. readers of Nerdage (probably most of you?) to get out and vote today!

Thor is an Asgardian; he’d be unable to vote.

Howard the Duck is from an alternate dimension… he’d be unable to vote.

Would Bruce Banner be able to vote? Where is his polling place? Where does he HAVE A RESIDENCE? I don’t think he pays taxes, lives anywhere, or would be considered a legal resident of anywhere except the Vault. That’s a curious one… “I’m sorry, sir, I don’t find you on the voter roster.”

“HULK SMASH!”

Captain America, i’m sure… well, for one, Steve is dead. For two, when he was unfrozen, he had been legally declared dead, and would have been unable to vote, although I’m sure they fixed that. Or not.

Peter looks to be the only buton on that page who wouldn’t have a problem. Although, when Mary Jane Watson parker shows up, and the voter registar doesn’t find her under “parker”, that’ll be confusing… until Mephisto reminds the old lady to look under “Watson” in the “Sold Soul To Devil” voter registar.
