Loeb, Alexander off of “Heroes”

According to Blog @ Newsarama, co-executive producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander have been fired from “Heroes.”  NBC is reportedly frustrated with the direction of the series, now averaging more than 9 million viewers an episode, down from 11.6 million last season.

Am I the only person loving this season of Heroes? I think I am….

It took me several weeks to start watching the first season on DVD. (Have not watched the first season since it first aired and only watched the first couple from season 2). I am about half way through season on, so maybe in a couple of weeks I should be ready for season three. I have heard good things about season 3 though, and loved the first episode when I saw it in San Diego.

Cody, I like it plenty, I’m just spotting on sitting down and watching it.

I’m not sure if this is good news or not. I haven’t watched the last 4 episodes and I’m not in any hurry to do so. It just seems directionless and don’t quite see what they’re doing or where they’re going. Not really sure getting rid of Loeb and Alexander is the way to go though…

After season 2, I had a tough time convincing myself to get started on 3. Just recently watched all the episodes that I had missed and got hooked all over again. Really enjoying the season so far and I’m definitely worried about any new direction they think they might need to go in. We’ll see how it plays out I guess.

Interesting use of the word “spotting”, CW. I don’t know if it’s right, but it’s interesting.

And yeah, of course you will (rolls eyes as he tries to imagine CW sitting down and watching anything that isn’t a LEGO video game)…

This season has been kind of weird. I really like the group of villains that are building, Momma Petrelli taking on a leadership role, and Claire trying to find a purpose in the world.

I don’t like the fact that Sylar is the other Petrelli brother. I like him working with Noah and trying to redeem himself, but it all seems to have happened way too fast in the season. I am not a big fan of Mr. Petrelli having been in a coma this whole time and just killing off a main character like they were Red Shirt #2. He makes a perfect villain, but him being the father and Sylar revealed as the brother in the same season (maybe even the same episode) just seems forced.

But the two worst parts so far this season have been Peter taking Sylar’s power from the future and then going crazy, and Hiro being a dummy. Will Hiro ever listen to Ando and stop getting into these situations?

Overall the season has been great for me, just a couple of things that make my head hurt.
