Beginning in January 2009, Marvel will begin a year-long celebration of its historic 70th Anniversary. Marvel plans special collections and commemorative covers, beginning with Marko Djurdjevic’s variant to “Captain America” #46. From this artwork, it appears the “Marvel Masterworks” will finally come to softcover format for Marvel’s 70th anniversary. (Some of the Masterworks were released as Barnes & Noble softcover exclusives a few years back.)
