According to Variety, ABC will air a new adaptation of the franchise “V,” written by “The 4400″ creator Scott Peters.
Series creator Kenneth Johnson was recently trying to revive the series — he also wrote a novel continuing the story from the original miniseries. This isn’t related to the Peters project.
The original “V” featured an alien occupation that was an allegory for the Nazi occupation of Europe. Peters’ project will feature lizardlike aliens, though he tells Variety it won’t follow the same storyline.

I hope it’s better than the recent “V: The Next Generation” novel that came out recently, penned by series creator Kenneth Johnson. I found it unreadable.
