It’s a doubleheader of highly anticipated Superman comic books this week. The penultimate issue of the “Brainiac” storyline in “Action Comics” comes out this week, after a short delay for a printing error. (Apparently nothing as nefarious as the “All-Star Batman” printing error.) And “All-Star Superman” wraps up the Grant Morrison-Frank Quitely story with issue #12.
If you missed the Norman, Okla., issue of “Local,” by Brian Wood and Ryan Kelly, the entire storyline is now collected in one hardcover, also on sale this week.
Full list and commentary after the break.

Looking forward too:
- Tiny Titans!
- Amazing Spidey: NWD (Yes, I am a hypocrite. It’s too much fun.)
- Age of Sentry (Colin and I came up with this idea earlier this year. We are geniuses. Unpaid geniuses.)
- All Star Superman (is this the best comic book of our lifetime, just as pure “comic book”, superhero, Superman mythology, the very perfection and personification of everything great and majestic about comic books, or not? I submit that it is.)
- Guardians of the Galaxy (I loved the original series. Loved. When Vance showed up in this one, I flipped. I want so badly for there to be a return of the GOTG)
FANTASTIC Thor comment!!! I think, should JMS ever end his Thor run, another comic writing Okie should take his place… Maybe that guy who’s writing Supergirl. He’s pretty good.
