Aaron Sorkin to write “Facebook” movie

From a link posted, somewhat appropriately, on Facebook.

The Guardian UK is reporting that “West Wing” creator Aaron Sorkin is writing a film about how Facebook was developed.  As part of the process, he’s started a group page on Facebook called “Aaron Sorkin and the Facebook Movie.”

“I’ve just agreed to write a movie for Sony and producer Scott Rudin about how Facebook was invented,” Sorkin wrote in his introduction.

“I figured a good first step in my preparation would be finding out what Facebook is, so I’ve started this page.”

the best part of that is the Facebook Group has a discussion board, and one of the threads Aaron has said, “ask me anything and I’ll respond to it.”

So people do. And he does.

Including Sorkin regular Josh Charles, who trades barbs with Sorkin several times in the thread.

I spent most of my morning pouring through the 8 pages of comments, glinting all I could from Sorkin’s responses.

Very cool, indeed.

Yeah, I got that. Cody forwarded me a thing about it after a conversation we had about the guy last night.

I will have to check it out. I have heard great things about Sportsnight, and I loved the first four seasons of the West Wing.

Sports Night is coming out in a 10th Anniv set from SHOUT! Factory in September, with all the bells and whistles it deserves.

Sports Night was a great show. Glad to see it get more recognition.
