Comic-Con International: “You can’t get to it all.”

If you aren’t burned out on reading about Comic-Con: International, here’s an interesting post by two Comic-Con first timers.

Author and editor Henry Jenkins sums up the experience of Comic-Con near perfectly:

“So there are things that you would have killed to get to in any other context that you pass up because there’s so much going on at once. You can’t get to it all.”

Man, I totally agree.

This was the first year I wasn’t there 5 days, and so I spent the entire time on the con floor. It was fantastic. Instead of spending Saturday in Hall H.

It was freeing. But yeah, there was still parts of the floor i didn’t spend enough time in. Like the middle. I think I saw the Watchmen ship once.

But Castle Greyskull… i was there every day.

I agree. This was my first time and did Friday through Sunday. Totally overwhelming, but so much fun. Probably only saw 50% of what there was on the floor. Missed all the Network/Movie things and missed a buch of the smaller press things. Tried to spend some times in the panels and got into most I wanted. They were a good change from the chaos of the floor.

I’m already registered for next year though. I think it will probably be better since I’ve got an idea of what it’s like.

I wanted to go see more of the tv related things. Where else I am going to see Katie Sackoff at. I want to try New York and Chicago…
