A friend of mine had the same issue with the neck. My only suggestion would be to try to swap out the neck pegs. If you happen to have an older figure that you no longer display (or have replaced with a newer version) that has a ball jointed neck like many DC Direct and Mattel DCUC figures, then you can do a boil and pop on the head and hopefully find a better fit.

If you are not familiar with the method, all you need is to heat a cup or bowl of water in the microwave for a minute or two. Then rest the upper torso of the Nightwing in the boiling water for a minute. When you pull him out, his head and neck should be pretty soft. Pop his head off. The peg may or may not come with the head. Wherever the peg remains, you may need some pliers (preferably needle nose) to pry it out.

Just repeat the step with another figure (preferably one with a bit larger neck peg) and then place the new peg back in Nightwing's neck (you may have to re-heat him if his neck is no longer soft). Replace the head and see if you have a better fit. It might take a couple tries to find a suitable replacement peg but don't worry you can always return the trial figs back to their original state.

Either that or you can just track down another Nightwing!

Hey man great break down. The Nightwing figure I got has an extremely loose neck peg. Any recommendations on how to help?

The Sinestro Corps uniform is technically the variant in this wave, but thankfully Mattel has packed him out at 50/50 ratios so that he should be relatively easy to track down (provided you are in an area that keeps DCUC stocked).

Deathstroke in this wave is shipping alongside an unmasked variant but his pack ratios are at 70/30 so that one might be a bit trickier to find.

Thanks for the kind words Cody!

Sorry it took me forever to respond to this -- the Sinestro Corps uniform is the variant, the blue and black is the standard.

Good review, I really wanna get my hand on Hal Jordan!

So far I just been getting 2 or 3 of the DC classics line but this time I think I'll get all 5

Which Sinestro figure is the variant one?

I'm really looking forward to this line and hope it's not going to be too hard to track down. This is the first Build-a-Figure I'll get to assemble. Usually I just have random parts because I don't want all the figures, but these figures look awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on a Sinestro!

I enjoyed this post quite a bit, and not just cause it was Chris with the guest-blog.

It's just great to have someone who actually cares about the product review it, as opposed to someone ingrained in the toy industry. So I take Chris's reviews more seriously.

I'd be interested in more toy reviews from CP.

Maybe he can examine the swag he got at Comic-con, and rate the exclusives?
