“Captain America” movie rumors flying already

Well, here’s hoping this is just idle speculation, but CinemaBlend reports that Matthew McConaughey may be among the contenders to play “Captain America” in the just-announced 2011 film.

I think Captain America will be a very tough role to cast — and, fans often react poorly at first to unconventional choices, only to later be won over (see: Michael Keaton), but my first response to this as a Captain America fan is, I hope this isn’t the direction they end up going.

one word: dolph lundgren

they need to think outside of the comic role, die-hards go away.
the nazi stroy thread is play through, come up with a new story line and make a new captain in the comics and use that character for the movies, and as far as Dolph Lundgren, I hope they can find someone that can act to play Captain America.

they killed Steve Rogers in the comics who replaced him? A clone?
The Steve Rogers that we all loved in the comics is dead, stop thinking about him and how no one fits the role.

One Better Word Ed Harris hes the prototype for a army marine corp guy he IS Capt America look at the wholesome but hard ass characters hes played he is perfect for the role some may say hes to old but look what they did with Tim Roth in the Hulk . The great success of Iron Man and Spiderman have been because of casting Actors that actually can act .
