LAS VEGAS — Rick Lowell, chairman of the 24 Hour Comic Book Day Committee for ComicsPRO, tentatively announced a fall date for this year’s event.
The 24 Hour Comic Book Day event allows cartoonists across the country to attempt to create a 24-page comic book in 24 hours at comic book stores and other locations.
As previously announced, ComicsPRO will take over the administration of 24 Hour Comic Book Day in 2008.
“It’s a great way to reach out to our communities and show that comic-book stores are something beyond what they think they are,” Lowell said.
A full press release and date announcement are forthcoming, Lowell said.

Hello, I’m french and I’m leaving there.
I was participating to the 2005 and 2007 24 hours comics day.
This year, I’d like to host the event at my restaurant, in Dijon (first city of burgundy). I’m probably going to catch the people by food (I and my boyfriend are chefs) .
My question is : is it the same way than before to participate, is there a link? Where could I subscribe?
Thanks,
Lison

Lison:
I think details are still being hammered out - I know they expect to send out a release with the exact date in the near future. For now, you might e-mail info AT comicspro.org to get any information for participants that they have at this time. Thanks!
