“Secret Invasion” nears
On sale April 2, the story of the shape-shifting Skrulls “Secret Invasion” of Earth kicks off with “Secret Invasion” No.1. If you want to get caught up on what’s happened so far, go to your local comic book store for the free “Secret Invasion Saga,” which recaps events to date.
The miniseries is written by Brian Michael Bendis, with art by Leinil Francis Yu. The Skrulls have replaced trusted heroes with Skrull agents. Who will be revealed as a Skrull? And what’s the Skrulls’ ultimate plan?
The main cover is by Gabrielle Dell’Otto, along with variants by Civil War artist Steve McNiven and Yu (the large picture here).
Edit: Hey, who is the Captain America on this variant? That’s not the costume the former Winter Soldier has been wearing. Artistic license or something more?
