Guests announced for Metropolis Superman celebration

Allison Mack (Smallville), Ned Beatty (Superman: The Movie) and Noel Neill (The Adventures of Superman) highlight the guests at this year’s Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Ill.
Mack plays Clark’s inquisitive reporter friend Chloe on “Smallville.” Beatty played Lex Luthor’s bumbling sidekick Otis in “Superman: The Movie” and “Superman II.” Neill originated the role of Lois Lane in the 1948 Superman serial. She returned to the role in “Atom Man vs. Superman.” She replaced Phyllis Coates in 1953 as Lois Lane in the George Reeves series “The Adventures of Superman.”
The dates for this year’s celebration, as reported by the Superman Homepage, are June 12-15. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Ill.
“We wanted to have outstanding celebrities for our 30th year and I do believe we have accomplished that goal,” Karla Ogle, chairperson for the Superman Celebration, said in the release.
