Who do you trust?
That was the subject line of an e-mail from Marvel revealing the Steve McNiven variant for “Secret Invasion” No. 1.
“Secret Invasion” is Marvel’s big project for 2008, and it begins shipping in April. In “Secret Invasion,” shape-shifting Skrulls have infiltrated every group of superheroes in the Marvel universe, with the goal of invading Earth. The creative team on the book is writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Leinil Yu.
Which heroes have been secretly replaced by Skrulls is the subject of much speculation, and this eight-issue miniseries has reportedly been in the planning stages as far back as “New Avengers” No. 1 in 2004.
